The CLOUD experiment at CERN allows to study aerosol nucleation under atmospheric conditions at a new level of precision. A broad range of state-of-the-art instrumentation is used to obtain a comprehensive picture of the nucleation process. A focus of investigations are ion-induced nucleation processes using an elementary particle beam from CERN. Latest measurements have focused on the binary H2SO4-H2O system at low temperatures (down to - 65°C) and studying the humidity dependence. Furthermore, the influence of ammonia and amines on the nucleation and growth rates was studied. The seminar talk will give an overview of the findings from the recent experiments at CERN.
