Meteorological Challenges in Wind Energy

Dienstag, 22. November 2022, 15:45-16:45
CS, Geb. 30.22, Otto-Lehmann-Hörsaal und online

Larger windfarms with bigger turbines cause strong effects and interactions with atmospheric flow, which is important to understand for correct yield and performance estimation.

Especially offshore, it is a big challenge to capture effects as global blockage, cluster wakes etc. by measurements and models.

EnBW is performing different on- and offshore campaigns for windfield and performance analysis, and some findings are discussed here.
