The family of Institutes for Meteorology and Climate Research at KIT (IMK) consists of four independent institutes in which research and teaching in the field of climate science and meteorology are bundled. The work focuses on atmospheric aerosol research (IMKAAF), atmospheric trace gases and remote sensing (IMKASF), soil-atmosphere interaction (IMKIFU in Garmisch-Partenkirchen) and atmospheric processes in the troposphere (IMKTRO).
