The radiative forcing due to aerosol-cloud interactions (ACI) within marine low-level clouds constitutes one of the largest remaining physical uncertainties within the climate system. In this talk I will present insights from my past and ongoing research on microphysically driven cloud-radiative effects in marine stratocumulus around the world in the context of general advancements in this field.
The seminar will be given as a livestream in Zoom which you can access via https://kit-lecture.zoom.us/j/93311079176?pwd=WXVPbytDVlU1TzQxVmNNdlU5TzdnUT09 . The link can be opened either in a current webbrowser or in the Zoom App. Instructions are provided with the link. The virtual meeting room will open about 15min prior to the scheduled seminar. Please indicate your firstname, lastname and institution e.g. "Firstname Lastname (IMK-TRO)". You can raise your hand for the subsequent discussion and ask your question or comment after being called by the moderator. Alternately you can ask or comment via the chat and your question will be read out. The meeting will NOT be recorded.
